“In 2011, my life completely fell apart—and surprisingly, that was the best thing that ever happened to me….”
That was the year that everything I thought I had built over 13 years came crashing down. Nothing was the same….I was not the same. Suddenly, the life I thought I had was gone, and I was forced to take a hard look in the mirror—only to realize I didn’t even recognize the woman staring back at me.
The years that followed were painful, but I kept moving forward (because that’s what we do, right?). I tucked away that version of me—the girl who felt she had nothing left to give—until 2018, when I couldn’t ignore the ache any longer. The need to exist—not just survive—finally woke up inside me. And that’s when the real hard began….
But here is the thing with life—it has a way of surprising us, refining us, and realigning us with who we were always meant to be. And while change can be painful, if we stop fighting the wave and instead learn to ride it, we become!
In the middle of all that change, I started working at a university and—plot twist—ended up presenting as part of my job. I had never done formal public speaking before, and felt wildly unqualified. But I went with it, because I finally learned that if you step out of God’s way, He can do more with your life than you ever imagined. And oh, He did! I discovered that I love public speaking. Even more, I saw how a well-delivered message can spark real transformation. That’s when I knew—I had found my calling.
Now, I combine my degree in Marriage and Family Studies, my experience of rebuilding from the ground up, and my warm, but bold approach to help others step into who they were always meant to be.
So here we are—you and me. And hopefully soon, we’ll get to meet in person. Whether I’m a small part of your beginning or a guide along the way, walking that journey with you would be my greatest joy!
